Getech, ERCL, Draeger Holding International, GasSecure AS, Aspen Technology, Blowdown, Legacy Measurement Solutions, Pelagic Tank, Gas Analytical Services.

UK-based Getech is acquiring oil and gas consultancy ERCL in a cash and paper deal with an aggregate £4,300,000 value. The deal has been part-financed with a £1.1 million load from RBS/NatWest.

Dräger Holding Intl. has acquired Norwegian technology startup GasSecure AS for approximately 500 million NOK. The acquisition adds wireless gas detection to Dräger’s portfolio. GasSecure’s technology came out of Norway’s Sintef R&D establishment and was backed by VC Viking Venture.

Aspen Technology has acquired the Blowdown software package from Stephen Richardson and Graham Saville (both of Imperial College London). The tool is used to model depressurization in process plants and identify locations where there is a risk of excessively low temperature. The tool will be integrated with the AspenOne engineering suite.

Legacy Measurement Solutions (LMS) is to acquire Pelagic Tank, a supplier of measurement, production, and process solutions to the oil and gas industry. LMS is also to divest certain assets related to its gas analysis, chart interpretation, and field service business to Gas Analytical Services Inc., a subsidiary of CriticalControl Solutions Corp. LMS is a portfolio company of private equity firm White Deer Energy.
