Aker, Baker Hughes, CGG, Reservoir Group, Interica, Triple Point, WAM Systems.

Aker Solutions is to acquire a majority stake in Aberdeen-based subsea well control equipment specialist Enovate Systems.

Baker Hughes has changed its mind regarding the sale of its Process and Pipeline services business. BHI announced the sale of the division, a component of its Industrial Services segment, last October.

Following completion of its acquisition of Fugro’s geoscience division, CGGVeritas has ‘simplified’ its name to good old ‘CGG.’ The Group is now organized around three divisions—equipment, acquisition and geology, geophysics and reservoir.

Reservoir Group has announced that following a management buy-out, Interica, its data management business is now operating as an independent company. Interica was formed with the combination of RG’s earlier acquisitions, InfoAsset and Enigma Data Systems. Reservoir Group is now focusing on its core business of downhole tools, technologies and associated sub-surface services. The company reports that, ‘Bespoke software and digital data management no longer aligns with our portfolio.’

Trading software house Triple Point Technology has acquired WAM Systems. TPT CEO Pete Armstrong said the deal would ‘help companies manage volatile commodity costs through the use of real-time, market-based costs in enterprise plans.’ WAM provides supply chain planning and optimization solutions for process including oil and gas. WAM flagship clients include LyondellBasell, PetroChina, and Saudi Aramco.
