Weatherford has unveiled a new online Tubular Connection Database (TCD) to provide clients and field technicians with the ability to verify connection size and makeup criteria in the field. TCD provides fast access to thousands of connections, ‘hevi’ and ‘spiral-wate’ drillpipe and collars, specification sheets and contacts.
The site is a one-stop shop for information on technical specifications and sizes of tubing, casing and drillpipe connections from various vendors. Information in the database is supplied directly from the connection manufacturers and is the latest published data. Current, updated information is easily accessible in one place, saving time and reducing error. In addition, TCD has a ‘mobile interface,’ enabling access from any web-enabled, personal-digital-assistant device or smart phone. More from tcd.weatherford.com.
